I am a creative non-fiction writer specializing in education, reading, gifted children, parenting, homeschooling, and most recently housing psychology, gender, marriage, and the Prince Charming myth.
My writing style is relaxed, easy to read, and often humorous. I think outside the box and frequently leave my reader thinking "Wow, why didn't I think of that?"

The Single Female Homebuyer,
Little girls love dollhouses. In fact, an Internet search for the term yields 1,350,000 hits; pages and pages of websites each with its own unique product for sale. Thus perhaps it should come as no surprise that, according to the State of the Nation's Housing (Harvard, 2005), more than one in five homebuyers is a single woman and twice as many unmarried women as unmarried men are buying homes.Ann Lloyd, completed her Ph.D. in Housing and Family Studies at Virginia Tech. She is the author of five books and numerous trade and academic articles. Her doctoral research on the single female homebuyer has been published and presented in the US and abroad.
